Barrie MTC - April 26 - 27 and May 3 - 4

On April 26 and 27 and May 3 and 4, GO buses replace trains at all stations except Downsview Park GO and Union Station. GO buses will run between Allandale Waterfront GO and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.

There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview Park GO or Union Station. If you are travelling to or from Downsview Park GO and Union Station, please consider TTC services:

Travelling to Downsview Park GO or Union Station:

Take replacement GO buses to Highway 407 Bus Terminal, to connect to TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Downsview or Union Station.

Travelling from Downsview Park GO or Union Station:

Take TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Highway 407 station where replacement GO buses will continue towards Barrie.
GO bus are available at Highway 407 Bus Terminal, located on the west side of the station.

Replacement GO buses may depart at different times than train schedules. Plan ahead and check schedules before you travel.

Connecting between GO and TTC? Save with One Fare. One Fare applies when you pay your fare with a physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Mobile Wallet, or with a contactless credit or debit card. It does not apply to cash fare or ticket products. You must use the same card throughout your entire trip.

On April 22, 23, 28, 29 and May 5 and 6, train schedules will be adjusted on the Barrie line due to the weekend construction work, which requires trains to travel slower in some areas. Some morning and afternoon trains will be adjusted.

What type of work is happening:

Metrolinx is transforming GO Transit to bring more frequent two-way, all-day service to the Barrie line seven days a week, so you won't need a schedule because you know the next train will be coming soon. To support the future addition of a second track, key areas of the corridor along the Barrie Line are being expanded. In addition to corridor improvements, significant station upgrades at Maple, King City and Aurora GO stations are progressing.

Northbound:

From Downsview Park GO, some trains will depart one minute later.
From Union Station, the 10:54 a.m. and 7:54 p.m. trains will depart three minutes earlier at 10:51 a.m. and 7:51 p.m.
From Union Station, the 11:54 p.m. train will depart one minute later at 11:55 p.m.
From Union Station, the 12:54 p.m. train will depart four minutes later at 12:58 p.m. and will not stop at King City or Aurora GO.

Route 65 replacement GO bus will depart Maple GO at 1:40 p.m. to King City and Aurora GO. This trip will have a connection time of eight minutes.

From Union Station, the 2:01 p.m. and 10:01 p.m. trains will depart one minute earlier at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.
From Union Station, the 3:02 p.m. train will depart four minutes earlier at 2:58 p.m.
From Union Station, the 6:54 p.m. train will depart six minutes earlier at 6:48 p.m.
From Downsview Park GO, the 9:13 p.m. train will depart one minute later at 9:14 p.m. and will not stop at King City or Aurora GO.

Customers looking to travel to King City or Aurora GO, will take the 8:20 GO bus route 65 from Union Station Bus Terminal. This bus will depart 34 minutes earlier.
This bus will connect to GO bus route 68 at Aurora GO to Barrie, with a 12-minute connection time.

Customers on northbound route 68 GO bus trips will have connection times between eight and 15 minutes (up to five minutes earlier or two minutes later).

Southbound:

From King City GO, the 5:47 a.m., 6:16 a.m., 6:46 a.m., 8:01 a.m., 9:05 a.m., 10:04 a.m. and 9:05 p.m. trains will depart one minute later at 5:48 p.m., 6:17 a.m., 6:47 a.m., 8:02 a.m., 9:06 a.m., 10:05 a.m. and 9:06 p.m.
From Allandale Waterfront GO, the 6:12 a.m. and 6:42 a.m. trains will depart three minutes earlier at 6:09 a.m. and 6:39 a.m.
The 10:57 a.m. train will not depart Aurora GO and will begin at Maple GO, departing at 11:13 a.m.

This train will not service Aurora or King City GO.
Route 65 replacement GO bus will depart Aurora GO at 10:30 a.m. to King City and Maple GO.
Connection time will be 12 to 13 minutes.
Customers will arrive at Aurora GO up to 32 minutes earlier than usual.

From Aurora GO, the 11:55 a.m. train will depart one minute later at 11:56 a.m.
From Aurora GO, the 12:55 p.m. train will depart four minutes later at 12:59 p.m.
From Allandale Waterfront GO, the 1:08 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. trains will depart one minute earlier at 1:07 p.m. and 9:09 p.m.
The 3:04 p.m. train will not depart Aurora GO and will begin at Maple GO, departing at 3:19 p.m.

This train will not service Aurora or King City GO.
Route 65 replacement GO bus will depart Aurora GO at 2:35 p.m. to King City and Maple GO.
Connection time will be 12 to 13 minutes.
Customers will arrive at Aurora GO up to 32 minutes earlier than usual.

From Aurora GO, the 7:55 p.m. train will depart three minutes earlier at 7:52 p.m.
Customers on southbound Route 68 trips will have connection times between 12 to 19 minutes (between three minutes earlier and four minutes later).
