Important Safety Information

This parade route crosses train tracks at a ‘level crossing’. A level crossing is a railway crossing that is at street level. If you’re heading to the parade, remember, any time is train time.

Here are some safety tips to keep in mind and to keep you safely enjoying the parade with your loved ones:

  • Stop, look and listen. Pay attention to the warnings, whether they are lights, barriers or alarms.

  • Do not proceed until all the warnings stop.

  • Check both ways before proceeding.

  • Never go around a barrier when it is lowered.

  • Visit our Safety Tips page for more information about level crossings and general safety.

Connecting between GO and local transit? Save with One Fare. One Fare applies when you pay your fare with a physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Mobile Wallet, or with a contactless credit or debit card. It does not apply for cash fare or ticket products. You must use the same card throughout your entire trip.

What type of construction work is happening?

We will be performing track construction and maintenance along the Stouffville line to ensure the safe and reliable operations of our train service. This work will also focus on updating key infrastructure for the Stouffville GO Expansion. This work can only be completed when trains are not running.
