We're Transforming Your Station!

Major improvements are underway at Maple GO Station. We're updating amenities, building new platforms, connecting pedestrian tunnels, enhancing accessibility, and making it easier and more convenient to access GO services.

What's Changing

As we move into the next phase of construction at your station. There will be changes to how you board and exit the train.

When boarding and exiting at Maple GO:

  • You will only be able to board and exit on the south end of the platform.
  • Doors on coaches from the accessibility platform and south will open.
  • When boarding, you may wish to wait south of the accessibility platform (or on the accessibility platform if you require it) to ensure you can board the train.
  • The accessibility platform and coach will be available at all times throughout construction.
  • PRESTO tap-on and tap-off devices are available throughout the south platform, as well as a ticket vending machine by the station building.
  • Please give yourself extra time to get to the station and platform.

When boarding at another station on your way to Maple GO:

  • Please listen carefully to announcements on your train to confirm what coaches will open when you arrive at Maple GO.
  • The accessibility platform and coach will be available at all times throughout construction.

Please be careful around construction areas and follow all directional signage.

What kind of work is happening?

This project is part of GO Expansion. By making improvements today, we can deliver infrastructure that will support faster two-way, all-day service for better and more frequent travel across the region. Maple GO station is scheduled for expansion from one to two platforms and the addition of a second track.

As part of this project, four elevators and stair structures are being constructed to connect two existing pedestrian tunnels that will provide access to the new platform once built. We will provide you with updates as the work progresses.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your station.

What's Next

Two pedestrian tunnels have already been installed, which is the first phase of implementing two-way, all day service to your station. The tunnels are ready to connect you to a second platform and track in the future – both needed for increased service. There are lots of changes to get excited about!

Here’s what’s coming to your station and the community:

  •  A new second track and platform to accommodate two-way, all-day service
  • Better pedestrian and cyclist connectivity
  • More parking
  • New fencing and retaining wall
  • New station stairs
  • A new elevator
  • An expanded bus loop and upgraded passenger pick up and drop off (formerly the Kiss & Ride)

We’re excited for the changes planned for Maple GO and we hope you are too! We’ll continue to update this page with renderings and status updates.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your station.
