Travelling on GO this winter? Here is what you need to know!
Construction for Lakeshore West GO Expansion is underway and we want you to be prepared.
You may have or will begin to see the impacts of construction at your station, such as a reduced number of parking spaces, a change in access points, and an increase in construction vehicles, workers, and equipment around the stations.
Here are some options you can consider to get on your way faster, easier and stress-free.
Do you usually travel from Port Credit?
Here are some alternatives you can consider:
- Walk, bike, carpool or get dropped off at your station if possible.
- Use local connecting transit such as MiWay to travel to the station and leave the car at home. We’ve made travel FREE between GO Transit and most local transit agencies. Learn more here.
- You can also consider using Clarkson GO station or Cooksville GO station.
Is Long Branch or Mimico your home station?
Parking is limited for those arriving by car and wishing to park at the station.
Here are some alternatives you can consider:
- Walk, bike, carpool or get dropped off at your station if possible.
- Use TTC and leave the car at home.
- You can also consider travelling from Dixie GO or Kipling GO.

Here are some general tips and tricks to help you while you commute:
- Did you know there is a reserved parking pilot underway at Port Credit GO? You can park in reserved parking spaces after 11 a.m. Monday through Friday (and always on weekends!).
- We’ve made travel FREE between GO Transit and most local transit agencies to make your commute easier.
- Schedules may have changed since you last travelled with us. Check your schedule here.
Please plan ahead, be cautious around construction areas, and follow directional signs.
