Students Save 40% with PRESTO on GO

Student life can be pricey! Whether you’re new or returning to college, you have expenses like tuition, school supplies and your personal life. We can help keep your budget in check when you travel with our Post-Secondary Student fare discounts. All full-time post-secondary students are eligible for the discounted fare, regardless of age. The Post-Seconary Discount is 40%* off the standard fare (single adult ticket) - just under 29% off the PRESTO fare on GO Transit.

This is how you set it up:

• Apply online to get a GO Transit Student ID
• Pick up a reloadable PRESTO card at Shoppers Drug Mart, online, or at GO stations.
• Upon approval of your GO Transit Student ID, an email will be sent to you with a PRESTO student concession fare voucher. Please follow the PRESTO instructions in the email to receive the fare discount on your PRESTO card.
• Remember to travel with your GO Transit Student ID and show it for fare inspection.
