Getting around ‘Safe and Sound’ for showtime

We’re working hard to get you to the Taylor Swift concert and back home safe. Here’s what we’re doing for the concert:

  • We’ll have wayfinding signage and extra staff at Union Station to guide you to the concert and back and additional staff at busy stations across the GO network.
  • With large crowds expected, be aware of your surroundings, follow directions and monitor updates during your travels.
  • We expect our trains and platforms to be busier than usual. Don’t be caught off guard by a train. During this busy time, all trains approaching each station will sound their bells and whistles to ensure customer safety. Keep alert in crowded areas and stay well back from the yellow line on train platforms. Crossing train tracks is dangerous and illegal; only use the stairs or elevators to get to another platform.
  • Safety is at your fingertips. Text ‘HELP’ to 77777 to communicate in real-time with a CPS dispatcher to report or request assistance in the event of an emergency or safety concern. Our customer protective services team will reply within 90 seconds and can assist by dispatching support or local police services.
  • You can chat with us in over 100 languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Tagalog, and Arabic. This option allows you to get help quickly and discreetly from anywhere within our network — on a bus, on a train, in a station, on a platform or at a bus loop.

We strive to make Union Station a safe space, let’s keep the following key safety tips in mind while travelling on GO:

  • When waiting on a train platform, stand well behind the yellow line
  • Don't stand in the No Standing Zones
  • Don’t run in front or behind a bus
  • The rules of the road also apply to our parking lots and property
  • Report any harassment you witness
  • Report unattended or suspicious packages

Bringing a bike with you?

With so many people using GO to get to the Taylor Swift concerts, space is limited. Please consider leaving your bike at home. If you’re bringing a bicycle on a GO train during this time, use bike coaches if available or board at Designated Bicycle Zones. A maximum of two bikes can fit on a bike rack on each GO bus.
