Just use your PRESTO card or a credit or debit card, including those cards in a mobile wallet to tap on and off as usual. Don’t worry you won’t be charged a fare during the free service window. If you don’t have a PRESTO card or contactless payment card, there is no need to purchase a ticket during the free service window.  

Tapping or boarding outside of the free service window, on January 31, 2025, before 9:00 p.m. or after 11:59pm will result in a fare. 

Travel safely and responsibly

• Customers should always stay well behind the yellow line when waiting on a train platform. Ensure children who are travelling with you remain close by.
• Customers should never chase a bus and be sure to always use sidewalks and designated walkways. 
• Metrolinx’s Transit Safety team is available 24 hours a day at 1-877-297-0642 or text “HELP” to 77777.
• If you are involved in or witness to any unsafe, illegal, or harmful incidents while travelling with us, call our team immediately to assist.
• We urge all customers to look out for their fellow riders and press the yellow strip or call Transit Safety if they see someone in need of help.
