Bradford GO Station Improvement

We're Transforming Your Station!

Improvements are coming to your station! Construction is now active. We’re updating access to the station, enhancing parking, updating amenities and upgrading the bus loop.

What's Changing

Construction at your station is progressing. Starting May 17, there will be changes to how you access your station.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • On May 17, approximately 30 parking spaces closest to the Dissette Street entrance/exit will be unavailable for use to safely accommodate the higher traffic flow (see map).
  • The entrance to the station from Bridge Street will close on May 21.
  • Vehicles can only access the station from Dissette Street.
  • The north crossing is closed. Please use the south crossing by the station building.
  • Temporary bus stops will remain on the street:
    • Northbound buses: please board at the street stop on Bridge St, east of Dissette St.
    • Southbound buses: please board at the street stop on Holland St East, west of Marshview Blvd.
    • Please use the dedicated walkway to safely access the buses
  • The entrance to the station on Bridge Street will reopen in late fall 2024.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your station.

How You'll Benefit

With the population of Simcoe County expected to grow by approximately 37 per cent by 2041, Metrolinx is committed to expanding GO service along the Barrie Line. These upgrades through GO Expansion will enhance and maintain the safety and accessibility of our existing stations.

Here is what we have planned for your station and the community:

  • A traffic signal at the Dissette Street entrance to improve traffic flow
  • New sidewalks that lead to the station from Dissette Street and Bridge Street
  • Upgraded station lighting and CCTV
  • Additional parking spaces and rehabilitation of the existing parking lot
  • Upgraded storm water system and management
  • Reconfigured bus loop with three new bus bays and a new heated shelter
