We're Transforming Your Station!
Major improvements are coming to Aurora GO Station. We're installing a second track, updating amenities, enhancing parking and creating more connections.
Over the next 25 years, the York Region population is expected grow by 68 per cent. Metrolinx is building in and around Aurora to provide residents with more connections and better service that meets the demands of the growing population, regardless of how you choose to get around.
Whats Changing
The next phase of construction, to work on the south pedestrian tunnel and connecting elevators, has begun. The new accessible platform and the east extension of Platform one and are now in service, which changes how you board the train.
Here is what you need to know:
- The east platform extension is now open and the north side of platform one is no longer in service.
- It is an approximate five-minute walk from the station building and an approximate 10-minute walk from the bus platforms to the new rail platform (check the station map).
- Please give yourself enough time and check departure boards to know your train length.
- Review how we’ve been updating digital signage across the network to improve your commute.
- There will be no changes to how you travel through the station or access the bus loop.
- There are a limited number of shelters available along the new platform. Please remember to give yourself plenty of time if waiting in the station house to board your train, especially during inclement weather.
Changes to the bus loop:
As construction progresses at your station, we have moved our GO bus platforms to the east side of the bus loop for the next two years.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Northbound 65+E and 68 have moved to Platform 3.
- Southbound 65+CEF have moved to Platform 4.
- Please use caution and follow directional signs to reach your platform.
Parking at Aurora GO station

- A section of the parking lot at 12 Industrial Parkway is closed to accommodate a construction trailer and materials.
