Starting late-evening on Friday, Oct. 4, and throughout the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6, GO train service on the Stouffville line will be adjusted.

Friday, Oct. 4

Late-night train service will be adjusted and replaced by GO buses:

  • The 10:12 p.m. train trip departing Union Station, will now stop at Stouffville and Old Elm GO, arriving at 11:18 p.m. and 11:24 p.m.
    • This trip will have a consist length of 6 coaches as opposed to 10.
  • The 12:12 a.m. train trip departing Union Station to Old Elm GO will not operate.
    • Rail replacement bus trips will operate between:
      • 71C - Union Station Bus Terminal express to Unionville, Centennial, Makrham, Mount Joy, Stouffville, and Old Elm GO.

On Friday, Oct. 4, TTC Line 2 subway service between Kennedy and Victoria Park will end early at 11 p.m. Shuttle buses are available between Kennedy station and Main station.

Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5

There will be no GO train service in or out of Union Station. Train service will begin and end at Kennedy GO and operate on an hourly schedule.

Northbound:

  • The 9:30 a.m. train trip departing Kennedy GO will make all stops to Mount Joy GO. Stops to Stouffville and Old Elm GO will not operate.
    • This trip will have a consist length of 6 coaches as opposed to 10.
  • 70D - 10:14 p.m. bus trip departing Mount Joy GO making all stops to Railway Street at Albert Street.
  • The 10:31 p.m. bus trip departing Old Elm GO to Railway Street at Albert Street will not operate.

Southbound:

  • The 9:19 a.m. trin trip departing Old Elm GO, will now depart from Mount Joy GO at 9:33 a.m.

If you are travelling to Union Station from Kennedy GO:

  • Take TTC Line 2 at Kennedy station to transfer to TTC Line 1, via Yonge/Bloor station, to continue to Union Station.

If you are travelling to Kennedy GO from Union Station:

  • Take TTC Line 1 at Bloor/Yonge station to transfer to TTC Line 2 via Kennedy station.

Regular service resumes on Monday, Oct. 7.

Plan ahead and check schedules before you travel. Note: GO buses may depart at different times than normally scheduled train service.

What type of construction work is happening?

Starting late-evening Friday, Oct. 4, and throughout the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6, construction work is happening on the east section of the Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) for the Ontario Line’s East Harbour station, Birchmount Bridge repairs, and track work to widen the corridor.
