Lakeshore East Service Adjustment | Oct 4 to 6

Starting late-evening on Friday, Oct. 4, and throughout the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6, there will be no GO train service on the Lakeshore East line while important construction work takes place. Replacement GO buses will be available at Durham College Oshawa GO, Whitby GO, Ajax GO, Pickering GO, and Union Station Bus Terminal.

There will be no GO Transit service at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough or Danforth GO.

Friday, Oct. 4:

Late-night train service will be adjusted and replaced by GO buses:

Eastbound:

• The 11:50 p.m., 12:20 a.m., and 12:53 a.m. train trips will not operate and will be replaced by GO bus route 90 trips:
• The 11:55 p.m., 12 a.m., 12:25 a.m., 12:40 a.m., 12:55 a.m., and 1 a.m. bus trips departing Union Station Bus Terminal running express to Pickering GO, making all stops at Ajax, Whitby, and Durham College Oshawa GO.
• The 11:10 p.m. and 11:39 p.m. train trips will not operate and will be replaced by GO bus route 90 trips:
• The 11:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. bus trips departing Durham College Oshawa GO, making stops at Whitby, Ajax, and Pickering GO, running express to Union Station Bus Terminal.

Customers travelling southbound on GO bus route 88 who normally transfer from GO bus route 88 at Durham College Oshawa GO, will now transfer to the 11:45 p.m. GO bus route 90 trip to connect to Union Station Bus Terminal.

Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6:

Eastbound GO bus replacements:

• 90W – Union Station Bus Terminal express to Whitby and Durham College Oshawa GO.
• 90R – Union Station Bus Terminal express to Pickering and Ajax GO.
• 90B – Union Station Bus Terminal express to Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Durham College Oshawa GO.

Westbound GO bus replacements:

• 90W – Durham College Oshawa and Whitby GO express to Union Station Bus Terminal.
• 90R – Ajax and Pickering GO express to Union Station Bus Terminal.
• 90B – Durham College Oshawa Union Station Bus Terminal express to Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Durham College Oshawa GO.

Customers travelling northbound on GO bus route 88: Customers on GO bus replacement trips arriving at Durham College Oshawa GO will have a five to thirty minute connection time to Route 88 trips.

Customers travelling southbound on GO bus route 88: Customers on GO bus route 88 trips arriving at Durham College Oshawa GO will have an eight to thirteen minute connection time to GO bus replacement trips.

Plan ahead and check schedules before you travel. Note: GO buses may depart at different times than normally scheduled train service.

What type of construction work is happening?

Starting late-evening Friday, Oct. 4, and throughout the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6, construction work will take place along the Lakeshore East line. Track switch replacement will take place between Danforth GO and Union Station. There will also be repair work taking place on the Birchmount Bridge. Additionally, track work will take place along the line for the new East Harbour GO station and Ontario line.
