From Friday Oct. 25 until Sunday, Oct. 27, there will be no GO train service on the Barrie line while we perform important construction work. During construction, GO bus service will replace train service between Barrie Bus Terminal and Highway 407 Bus Terminal. There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview Park GO or Union Station. This construction is important for expanding our service to serve you better, with more frequent service, more stations, cleaner technology, and more connections. 

Friday Oct. 25 

Northbound:

  • The 7: 54 p.m. train from Union Station to Aurora GO, has been extended and will service all stations to Allandale Waterfront GO. 
  • The 8:54 p.m. train from Union Station to Aurora GO, has been extended to service all stations to Bradford GO. 
  • The 10:01 p.m. and 10:54 p.m. trains from Union Station to Allandale Waterfront GO have been suspended and replaced by buses. The replacement buses will depart Union Station Bus Terminal one to nine minutes later than the regular train schedule. 

Southbound:

  • The 8: 55 p.m. train from Aurora GO to Union Station has been suspended and will be replaced by a bus, departing 5 minutes earlier than the regular schedule. 
  • The 9:19 p.m. train from Allandale Waterfront GO to Union Station has been suspended and replaced by two buses, one that departs the Barrie bus terminal at 8:05 p.m. making all stops to Union Station Bus Terminal. The second departs the Barrie bus terminal at 8:28 p.m. making stops at Allandale Waterfront and Barrie South GO, then running express to Union Station Bus Terminal. 

Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday Oct. 27:

  • GO Bus Route 68F will serve Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Barrie Transit Terminal, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal. 
  • GO Bus Route 68G will serve Barrie Transit Terminal, Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.  
  • GO Bus Route 65H will serve Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride, Aurora GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal. 
  • GO Bus Route 65G will serve Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.  
  • GO Bus Route 65J will serve East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal. 

There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview GO or Union Station. If you’re travelling to or from Downsview Park GO or Union Station, please connect with TTC services:   

Travelling to Downsview Park GO or Union Station GO: 

  • Take GO Bus services to Highway 407 Bus Terminal to connect to TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) at Highway 407 station. 

Travelling from Downsview Park GO or Union Station: 

  • Take TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Highway 407 station to connect to GO bus services at Highway 407 Bus Terminal.  

Additionally, Monday, Oct. 28:

On Monday, Oct. 28 until 2 p.m., There will be no GO train service at King City GO due to construction. Customers travelling to or from King City GO will need to plan ahead and use an alternate GO station or connect with local transit agencies:

Customers travelling from Union Station to King City GO:

Take Barrie GO train service to Rutherford GO. Depart Rutherford GO and walk approximately 10-15 minutes west towards Keele Street and Rutherford Road, and connect with York Region Transit Route 96  

• Local transit option:

  • Customers can take TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Pioneer Village Station and connect with York Region Transit Route 96 to King City GO. 

Customers travelling from King City GO to Union Station: 

• Maple GO: approximately a 10-minute drive south from King City GO.

  • Note: Maple GO is currently under construction and has parking limitations. 

• Rutherford GO station: approximately a 15-minute drive from King City GO. 

• Local transit options:

  • YRT Route 96 stops at Keele Street and Station Road, travels south to Keele Street and Rutherford Road. Walk approximately 10-15 minutes east to Rutherford GO to connect with southbound GO train service. 
  • YRT Route 96, located at Keele Street and Station Road, to connect to TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) at Pioneer Village Station.

 On Monday, Oct. 28, the first trip making all stops on the Barrie line, will depart Union Station at 1:59 p.m.

It does not apply for cash fare or ticket products. You must use the same card throughout your entire trip.
