Each year tens of thousands of people from around the world choose Toronto as their new home. Toronto has a long history of welcoming newcomers and helping them settle and integrate.

Since 2015 over 55,000 guests have attended Toronto Newcomer Day. This is a day to officially welcome newcomers and celebrate their contributions while giving them the opportunity to connect with services and resources they may require.

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Toronto Newcomer Day. This year’s theme “Looking Back” will shine a spotlight on diverse groups that have participated in the event over the past 10 years, where are they now and why attending TND was such an integral part of their success.

For the 10th anniversary, there are number of pre-events leading up to Newcomer Day, giving newcomers an opportunity to engage in celebrations and programming in their local areas
