As we gear up for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ , GO Transit is excited to welcome fans to all six Toronto matches at Toronto Stadium (located at Exhibition Place) and the FIFA Fan Festival™ at Fort York National Historic Site, both just steps from Exhibition GO Station.
Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods, united by a profound love for soccer, eagerly anticipate welcoming fans from around the world. With more countries, cities, teams, and matches, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is expected to be the most inclusive and diverse sporting event in history.
No matter who you’re rooting for or how far you’ve travelled, the entire Metrolinx team and our transit partners are here to make your fan experience in Toronto unforgettable. With clear signage and dedicated staff to help you, you can focus on cheering for your team and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, unlike anything seen before.
Enhanced Service for FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Toronto
To help you travel smoothly across the region during FIFA World Cup 2026™ events in Toronto, we’ll be running increased train service between June 10 and July 5, and increased bus service between June 11 and July 19.
To help get you to and from the matches at Toronto Stadium, Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East, train service will be adjusted:
- Trains will run about every 15 minutes through most of the day to help you travel easily across the region and connect to downtown Toronto.
- Lakeshore West: Late-night trips will be available, with the last train departing Union Station at 00:47
- Lakeshore East: Late-night trips will be available, with the last train departing Union Station at 00:50
Fans travelling from Union Station are encouraged to use the official pedestrian route to Toronto Stadium (at Exhibition Place) and FIFA Fan Festival™. The scenic walk to Toronto Stadium takes approximately 45 minutes. The walk to FIFA Fan Festival™ takes approximately 30 minutes. Wayfinding is available at Union Station and along the route to help you get to the events during busy periods.
Doors to Toronto Stadium will open 3 hours before match time, except on June 12 when they will open 4 hours before, helping fans arrive early and get settled in ahead of kickoff.
Fans can also use the TTC subway, streetcar and bus network to conveniently explore Toronto’s neighbourhoods, attractions and events across the city.
