LAKESHORE WEST & LAKESHORE EAST PASSENGERS:
As part of our ongoing Rail Improvement Program, tracks on the
Lakeshore West line are undergoing construction that requires GO Trains
to temporarily operate at reduced speeds. This work will help improve
train travel conditions and allow for future expansion of GO Train
service.
We appreciate your patience as we make these improvements and
apologize for any inconvenience.
MALTON GO TRAIN BOARDING INFORMATION:
Starting November 2nd, due to construction of a new platform, shelter
pad and also installation of light post bases, there will be restricted train
access at your station. Passengers boarding or exiting the train will
have access to the 6 west end coaches of the train. Please exercise
caution when using the platform during this construction which is
expected to be completed in February 2010. We appreciate your
patience as we continue to work to towards improving your travel
experience from Malton station.
PORT CREDIT GO TRAIN BOARDING INFORMATION:
In addition to the platforms servicing tracks 1 & 2, from November 9th, a
part of the platform servicing tracks 3 will also be sectioned off for
construction. As a result, passengers boarding or exiting the train on
any of the tracks at Port Credit will have access to only the 5 cars from
the east end of the train (the engine) to the accessible car. Please
exercise caution when using the platform.
This project is part of the ongoing Rail Improvement Program which will
accommodate the installation of a third track on Lakeshore West,
increasing service on your line. We appreciate your patience as we
continue to work to towards improving your service.
SCARBOROUGH GO TRAIN BOARDING INFORMATION:
Starting July 27, the ongoing construction will result in some changes at
your station.
Passengers will now be required to board and exit the train between the
west end of the train and the accessible train car.
In addition, access to the north platform from the existing tunnel will be
closed, however, access will be available via the new tunnel and stairs
located just west of the station building.
We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to work towards
improving your station.
STOUFFVILLE LINE PASSENGERS:
In order improve passenger flow between the platforms and the Union Station
concourse during construction, starting Monday, November 9th, all of
your evening trains will depart Union on platform #7. This change will
also provide you with direct access to your platform from the new Bay
St. entrance. We appreciate your patience as we work towards
improving your commute. Please remember to always check the
electronic departure boards before heading up to the platforms.
