Please practice safe parking
 |
Each day tens of thousands of
customers take the time to park legally and responsibly.
By practicing safe and courteous parking you help ensure that emergency
access routes are clear, your fellow commuters are not blocked in, and
accessible parking spaces are available for those who need them.
Please park only in designated spots or your car may be towed.
We understand that finding a spot can sometimes be a challenge and we’re
working to expand parking.
Try getting to your station by riding local transit, walking, cycling,
getting a ride, or carpooling.

Parking guidelines
Most GO stations have customer parking. We do not charge for parking,
although you can rent a reserved parking space at most stations. Free parking is
offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers can park for a maximum
of 48 hours (free or reserved spaces).
On weekdays, parking lots can fill up. If your station’s lot is
crowded, why not take local transit to and from your station? Discounts are
available on many local transit systems for regular GO customers. See our
listing of local transit systems to
find out more. Or, consider carpooling, taking a taxi, trying a nearby station,
getting a ride, biking, or walking. These transportation options have many
positive benefits. Our Get to and from GO
page has some great resources to help you plan your trip.
We take safety and security at our parking lots very seriously, and we have
information and tips on how you can
protect your vehicle and help deter crime.
To find out about other safety initiatives across the GO system, visit our
Safety and Security page for
details.

Your mornings are hectic enough without having to search for somewhere to park.

What if someone parks in my spot?
Although it seldom occurs, there may be an occasion when you arrive at the
station to find an unauthorized vehicle parked in your spot. If that happens,
simply park in the kiss & ride area, but please don’t block the flow of traffic.
Advise the station attendant or call Transit Enforcement at 905.803.0642 after 9
a.m. and let them know your name, your station, your reserved space number, and
the licence plate number of your car parked in the kiss & ride. Under normal
circumstances, a transit enforcement officer will be dispatched to ticket the
illegally parked car before 3 p.m. that day.
